Theological Matters
Theology: Greek, Theos = God; logos = word
Meaning literally, "words about God," theology is what happens naturally every time a person asks a religious question, or whenever someone describes their faith or someone's religious practice. For some of us, discussing theological questions is nothing less than second nature, as easy as breathing. For others, theology is something to be avoided like the plague. As someone who has studied and engaged in a wide variety of theology, I have seen both positive and negative uses. Yet theology is virtually unavoidable when we confront the important issues of life.
In this section is a variety of articles and essays on topics of frequent discussion, both in the church and in the academic classroom. None is intended to be an exhaustive and/or authoritative statement beyond my own study. They are intended, however, to stimulate reflection and discussion.
